Past Events

The World CEO Forum started in 2006 in response to a request by the Worldwide CEO Clubs; a 30 year old institute of world business leaders that creates online and face-to-face networking and matchmaking opportunities.

The first event in 2006 welcomed over 300 CEOs from more than 16 countries and attracted delegates from all over the Middle East. The event has continued to growever since and looks to be bigger than ever in 2009.

* It is reported that over 4 billion dollars of new business has been generated as a result of the introductions, matchmaking and networking that takes place at the forum.

* Over 70 countries are expected to be represented in 2009!

* In a recent survey, we found that more than 400 new companies that have opened Dubai offices did so as a direct result of attending the forum.

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has sponsored and supported the event since its launch. We are proud to also have the support of the new Director General, Mr. Hamad Bouamim. The Dubai Chamber sponsor the welcome breakfast each year and invite Chamber members to meet delegates from all over the World.

Emaar, Nakheel, Dubai Properties, DubaiLand, Sports City and City of Arabia are just a few of the sponsors who have supported the event in the last four years; launching developments and stimulating enormous sales as a result of the Forum.

Abu Dhabi also sponsored the event in 2007 and delegates were welcomed by the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce who gave a presentation and organised tours, lunch and dinner at the Emirates Palace Hotel.

In 2007 and 2008, the event continued to gain even more support with Dubai Holdings and Arab Media Group contributing and with H.H. Sheikh Maktoum and H.H. Sheik Majid supporting the events.
